Erudite journalist and two time member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honorable Eziuche Ubani, has been inducted into the cadre of FELLOW of NIgeria Institute of Management (Chartered).
Ubani, Chairman of Saturn Communications, parent company of Magic 102.9 FM radio station in Aba, and former Commssioner for Works in Abia State, and who has been a member of the Institute for more than a decade, was honored at a colorful ceremony attended by captains of industry at the Muson Centre, Lagos, yesterday.
In a congratulatory message to Chief Ubani, Abia State Commissioner for Infornation, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, described the inductee as “one of the best brains in the state who has demonstrated his great managerial skills in everything he has put his hands to do”.
According to him, “Honorable Ubani pioneered private broadcast radio in Abia State through Magic FM and today the resounding success of that station has attracted 5 other new investments in private broadcast stations in Abia State.
“Similarly, as Commissioner for Works, he worked with Governor Ikpeazu to deliver more than 70 new roads, some of which were done with the innovative rigid pavement technology and he has remained a strong voice for good governance in Nigeria”, he said.
Also speaking on the induction, a prominent community leader in Obingwa LGA, Chief Isaac Ogbonna (Akurulo), congratulated Ubani and described him as an astute manager of men and resources.
