Reacting to the abduction of 317 school girls in Government Secondary College, Jangebe in Zamfara State, Former Senate President Alhaji Bukola Saraki has stated that the abduction has become too frequent.
He said this through his official Twitter handle revealing that he has commisserated with the people of Zamfara State and hope for the quick release of the children and others abducted.
Saraki also urged the Federal Government to do all it can to secure the girls release and urged the ‘security agencies to continue to work hard to adopt preventive measures to ensure that such occurrences cease to occur across the nation.’

I just got off the phone with Governor Bello Matawalle. During the call, I commiserated with him over the abduction of over 300 young schoolgirls from Jangebe town in Zamfara — and prayed that the young girls will soon be reunited with their families.
It is extremely sad and disheartening that once again we must extend our prayers and best wishes to the abducted Zamfara school children and their families.
These abductions have become too frequent and too specific to be ignored as not being a part of some nefarious agenda. It is my hope that these school children and all others that have been abducted are quickly released and reunited with their families.
The Federal Government must do everything in its power to make this happen — and our security agencies must continue to work hard to adopt preventive measures to ensure that such occurrences cease to occur across the nation.
