Explosion Rocks Trans-Niger Pipeline in Rivers State

An explosion has occurred at the Trans-Niger Pipeline in Bodo, located in the Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The incident took place on Monday night along this crucial export pipeline, which is responsible for transporting crude oil to the Bonny Terminal.

As of now, there has been no official statement regarding potential perpetrators or casualties.

Concerns are growing that the explosion may have been the result of human interference, especially since militant groups recently threatened to target oil installations in protest of the Federal Government’s withholding of Rivers State’s allocation due to an ongoing political dispute.
