Rev. Sister Annastasia Kinse, the Catholic nun who recently sparked national attention after alleging misconduct by some Catholic priests, has been officially dismissed from her religious order, the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters.

In a public statement, Kinse revealed that she received a letter of dismissal dated July 21, 2025. She stated that she was given a token sum of ₦100,000 and found her belongings already packed outside the convent upon arrival. Her religious habit was also taken back by the congregation.

“Who no get person, get God,” she wrote, beginning her emotional message to the public. “Therefore, I am currently not in possession of any property of the Congregation.”

Despite her dismissal, Kinse expressed no bitterness, instead offering gratitude to those who supported her.

“From my heart, I sincerely thank everyone who has stood by me in prayer and encouragement through this time. Your love and support mean more than words can express,” she said.

Reaffirming her faith, Kinse emphasised, “I am a Catholic! And I love my Church! Above all, I place my trust in God, whose throne can never be shaken and who never abandons His own.”

Her dismissal follows a viral revelation in which she accused certain members of the clergy of sexual misconduct against the Reverend Sisters. The Sister who entered the Mother of Perpetual Help in Auchi, Edo State, stated that some Reverend Sisters engage in sexual relations with Reverend Fathers, and she was threatened for being against it.

Who no get person, get God.

I wish to let the public know that on this day, the 24th day of September 2025, I received a letter of dismissal from the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters, dated 21 July 2025. A token of one hundred thousand Naira(#100,000) was given to me.

When I got to the Convent, I found that my belongings were already packed outside the room I stayed in, and the religious habits were taken away. I pulled the one I had on and submitted it as well. Therefore, I am currently not in possession of any property of the Congregation.

From my heart, I sincerely thank everyone who has stood by me in prayer and encouragement through this time. Your love and support mean more than words can express.

I am a Catholic! and I love my Church!

Above all, I place my trust in God, whose throne can never be shaken and who never abandons His own.

With gratitude,
Annastasia Kinse.
