Abia Government Approves Construction of 9.35km Ihechiowa Ring Road
The Abia State Government has approved the construction of the 9.35-kilometre Ihechiowa Ring Road in Arochukwu Local Government Area.
The approval was granted on Monday, October 13, 2025, during the council’s weekly meeting in Umuahia.
The road project, which is expected to boost connectivity and economic activities in the Ihechiowa community and surrounding areas, is part of Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s continued drive to improve infrastructure across the state.
Confirming the news to Newsleverage on Tuesday, Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity stated that the flag off is expected this month.
Further details regarding the contractor, and project timeline are expected to be made public at the official flag-off ceremony.
