NAPTIP Steps in as Calls Intensify for Re-arrest of Woman Who Abused House Help
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has commented on the case of a woman named Ochomma Chisom, who is accused of abusing her house help and was subsequently released.
After being tagged multiple times on social media, the agency requested additional information regarding the abuse so that its Imo State Command could take further action.
Reports indicate that Mrs Chisom inflicted injuries on her house help’s head and body, reportedly due to what she claimed were “consistent lies.”
Following her arrest, she was required to sign an undertaking on October 23, 2025, promising that she would never abuse the young girl again.
However, many netizens are calling for her re-arrest, arguing that she committed a crime and should face severe consequences for her actions.
