Following the decision by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry to reopen the Lekki Toll Gate where #endsars protesters were killed on October 20th, 2020, another protest tagged Occupy Lekki Toll Gate is looming.
According to the information shared online, the Occupy Lekki Toll Gate will be holding on the 13th February to protest against the ruling of the panel on Saturday.
Recall that the panel had a toll which was won by five to four to reopening the gate.
In the panel, the LCC argued that they turned off their camera when the Lagos State Government announced a curfew on the 20th October over the escalating protest.
Shortly, the Nigerian military allegedly moved in and shot unarmed protesters as recorded by a live video made by DJ Switch on that day.
The Nigerian military, at the panel, argued that they were never at the place of protest but later revealed that they were there but fired only blank bullets on air.
The Lagos State Government also denied involvement, stating that it never invited the military but the subsequent revelation at the panel revealed that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu invited the military.
