I have read with utter dismay the infantile ratiocination by one faceless Ubani Ogbonna captioned, “The Chicanery of Charles Samankwe And The Misplaced Audacity of The Abontas”. As a vibrant Ukwa West youth whose interest is centered on the movement for total recovery of the seat of Ukwa East and West House of Representatives from the Ndoki’s, I wish to state magisterially that in no time has Rep Uzoma Abonta contracted me to do a media job for him as claimed by the faceless ne’er-do-well who hides himself in the media garb of Ubani Ogbonna. I am brilliantly upright and development driven as much suggested that I cannot fall for such sychophantic assignment.
In my small Hamlet within Ukwa West, everybody is happy with the providence of Divinity save for those with questionable pedigrees which I am not. My attention was only drawn to the media vitriol and incessant vituperative remarks on Hon Uzoma Abonta sequel to the fact that he, Rep Abonta does not only represent Ukwa East, but also Ukwa West.
And a group of persons from Ndoki going to the media to lambast and taunt the image of Rep Abonta in the guise of calling for his stewardship is not only debasing but also a big affront on Ukwa West youths whose interests centre only on the movement for a total recovery of the seat of House of Representatives.
Like I stated earlier, Rep Abonta might have been perceived to be ineptitude, but that doesn’t call for a certain group of individuals to launch a media diatribe on his person. Those people involved should have waited for 2023 to vote him out with their PVC if they can.
From Ubani Ogbonna’s postulations about Chief Chris Nkwonta, it’s crystal clear that he is one of those people garnering support for him to take over from Abonta in lieu of an Asa man. Unarguably, Chief Chris Nkwonta is qualified to contest for Ukwa East/West Federal constituency, but,it is indeed an insult to Asa man to rate him as the most qualified candidate to represent us. The problem we have in Abia State politics is equating competence with financial status and accepting same as the prerequisite for leading the people.
Chris,as we ought to know, does not have such leadership charisma to represent us considering the convoluted phantasmagoria of his abysmal failure in the offices he had represented us in the past . In spite of Chief Chris Nkwonta’s economic power, what’s his score card when he was appointed Chairman of SURE P board Abia State from September 2011 to August 2015 sequel to the oil and gas from Ukwa? As the Chairman of SURE P Board, what project did he attract to Ukwa after controlling over two billion naira for four years save for the renovation of Obehie Primary school occasioned by a certain patriotic young man of Asa divide in spite of the fact that SURE P Board was involved in many programmes like capacity building, empowerment programmes, road constructions, health care et al.
Sir Chief Chris Nkwonta has attained the highest class in monetary qualification having owned the biggest tank farm in South South and South East, yet the road that leads to his house is in total disrepair.
As for the faceless individual whom from Adams I haven’t known or heard about him, though sources said he hails from Umuachigide Umuorie Asa, and one of the hungry political robots that betrayed the interest of Asa in the past.
I, therefore, warn that you desist from working with those pseudo groups in Ndoki to avert inevitable lapses. Ukwa Federal constituency is not for sale and no amount of pressure or financial inducement can deprive an Asa man of taking over power from Rep Uzoma Abonta. My position for an Asa man to represent us in Ukwa East/ West Federal constituency stands!
