Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has announced a comprehensive support package for Chris Vic, a visually impaired gospel musician whose inspirational performance at the 2025 Akwa Ibom Unity Concert, tagged “In Him We Move”, wowed the crowd.

Speaking at the event on Saturday night, Governor Eno said, “Tonight, I’m moved to show a little compassion to this young man who, despite what we see as disability, can still give his all to God. I’m told he lives in a rented house, so I’m directing the Commissioner for Lands to allocate him a plot of land, and I’ll sign the Certificate of Occupancy next week in Uyo. As soon as he gets the C of O, we will build him a four-bedroom flat.”

Governor Eno further revealed that the state government would build a four-bedroom apartment for Chris Vic and provide ₦100 million to establish his music studio, a fund separate from the cost of the land and the building project. He also pledged a ₦1 million monthly allowance for the artiste for as long as he remains governor.

According to Eno, the gesture is intended to celebrate resilience and remind citizens that “even in difficult moments, God is still good.”

He added that Chris Vic’s story exemplifies the power of praise in every circumstance and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting persons with disabilities.
