A hippopotamus has vomitted a young boy identified as Miracle Medal, it swallowed few minutes after in Katwe at Lake Edward located at East African tilt on a border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.
A post shared by a Reverend Father Petros Mwale of St Cecilia Parish, Mzuzu Diocese on Monday revealed that little Miracle was rushed to the hospital after the incident.
Getting to the hospital, it was discovered that the boy was alive.
“Miracle Medal! This boy in Katwe at lake Edward was swallowed by a hippo, 5 minutes later it vomited him & was rushed to the hospital thinking he was dead, but was alive. The village is surrounded by queen Elizabeth national park & lake Edward, so hippos come around the community.”
Across Africa, Hippopotamus kills an estimated 500 people, making them the world’s deadliest mammal, after humans, and nearly twice as deadly as lions.
