PDP Accuses APC of Alleged Plot to Destabilize Party

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressive Congress APC of an alleged plot to destroy the party and entrench totalitarianism.

It stated that the ruling APC is working with agents within the party to spread false narratives that its electoral guidelines have been compromised through forgery.

Speaking, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, stated that the party’s Primary Election Guidelines have not been compromised by forgery, contrary to reports circulating in the media. He accused certain individuals, allegedly backed by a top APC official, of desperately seeking to create a scandal and discredit the PDP’s internal processes.

The PDP expressed shock at the level of desperation displayed by these individuals, who are reportedly involved in inducing disagreements within the party, intimidating and harassing officials, and attempting to drag the police and courts into the party’s internal affairs.

The party national publicity secretary reassured PDP members and supporters that the party remains strong and undeterred, and will continue to resist any attempts to destabilize it. He urged the public to disregard reports of forgery, emphasizing that the PDP’s electoral guidelines have not been compromised.

This development comes amidst growing concerns about the APC’s tactics in the lead-up to the elections. The PDP has previously accused the APC of attempting to damage its reputation and destabilize the state.
