Troops Neutralize Three Bandits, Recover Weapons

Troops of the 1 Division Nigerian Army and Operation Whirl Punch neutralized one bandit around the general area of Maro – Chibiya forest in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on 12 November 2023 during a clearance operation.

In a statement by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations 1 Division Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya on Sunday revealed that the troops engaged the bandits in heavy gunfire.

An act which forced them to flee with gunshot wounds into the surrounding forest. The Troops captured one AK 47 rifle, one locally fabricated AK 47 rifle, quantity four of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and one mobile phone.

In a similar operation, the troops a bandit around Kawara and Filin Jalo villages in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State made contact with bandits at Kawara forest on the 10th of November 2023.

They, however, recovered one AK 47 rifle loaded with quantity 30  of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, one motorcycle, and one techno phone.

It also neutralized another bandit at Mai-Kulu-Gwanda, Rafin Gora, Funtua Badadi, and Kabawa villages all in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and recovered a Boafeng radio and a motorcycle.
