IKEDC Slashes Electricity Tariff for Band A Customers
Following days and weeks of public outcry, the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, IKEDC, has slashed the electricity tariff for Band A customers from N225/kWh to N206.80/kWh.

Following days and weeks of public outcry, the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, IKEDC, has slashed the electricity tariff for Band A customers from N225/kWh to N206.80/kWh.
According to the statement made by the spokesperson for the IKEDC, Olufadeke Omo-Omorodion, on Channels Television in a notice on Monday, 6th of May 2024, the reduction takes immediate effect.
“Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective 6th May 2024 with guaranteed availability of 20-24hrs supply daily.”

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) had approved N225/kwh for its Band A which receives 20-24 hours of power a day.
They also warned Distribution Companies to delist areas which do not receive power up to the approved hour from the electricity tariff.
