The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria suspended sales of petroleum nationwide on Monday following the selling of petroleum at a lost price.
A notice signed by its Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kuluwu directed all marketers to suspend selling and ordering petroleum products till further notice.
Many filling stations operated by independent marketers could be shut down because their cost price is above N195 per liter and they need to sell higher than that.
According to them, this decision to shut down would help them avoid possible sanctions for selling above N195 per liter.
