Police operatives attached to SARS in Minna, Niger State have arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Onuwa Stephen over ATM fraud.
Onuwa who hails from Benin in Edo State was arrested following a tip-off on 7th August 2020 was arrested at Obasanjo Shopping Complex Minna while he was about to purchase a large number of phones with another person’s ATM card.
It was gathered during interrogation that they have been loitering the premises of one of the commercial banks in Minna and succeeded in tricking a customer, spied on her ATM pin, and swapped her card.
Luckily, he was caught before making any withdrawal from the bank.
