The New Hampshire Attorney General filed domestic violence charges against Senator Jeff Woodburn late Thursday.
Woodburn, a 53-year-old Democrat elected to the Senate in 2012, allegedly bit “an intimate partner” on the left hand in December 2017 and on the right forearm in early June of this year, according to charges filed by the AG.
He also allegedly threw a cup of water, then the empty cup at an adult female victim in August 2017 and hit a victim in the stomach in December 2017. It’s unclear if the alleged violence was against the same woman or multiple women.
Woodburn got engaged to a childhood friend, Emily Stone Jacobs, in November, according to the Union Leader. He was previously married and divorced.
