The management of Golden Guinea Breweries, Umuahia, has formally presented the rejuvenated Golden Guinea drinks to Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu.
Receiving the revitalized drinks in Government House, Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu congratulated the management of the firm led by its Chairman, Chief Okey Nzenwa, on the feat achieved. He described it as a thing of joy that the revitalization of the company is happening in his time, saying that Golden Guinea is synonymous with not just Abians but Ndi Igbo in general.
The Governor who expressed hope that the company would make a great impact on the economy of Umuahia as its host locality and Abia State as a whole said that the value chain of employment to be generated by the return of Golden Guinea would be monumental. While assuring that Abia State government will continue to support the company to ensure that its second return would last, he urged them not to hesitate to solicit any assistance they may need in ensuring that the feat is sustained. The State chief executive also called on all to patronize Golden Guinea products as it is back to stay.
Earlier, the Chairman, Golden Guinea Breweries, Chief Okey Nzenwa, said the team came to present the drinks produced after fifteen years the company stopped production to the Governor in appreciation of his unquantifiable support at ensuring the return of the company. He announced that the product is already being favorably received in the market.
Chief Ezenwa further thanked the Governor for his encouragement to the company and requested him to fix a date for the official launch of the return of Golden Guinea in Umuahia.
