A woman, Chi Valeria, whose face was slashed in 2018 by her friend, Mrs MaryAnn Nwanyibunwa Halim Anthony, whom she considers as a sister has reacted to the dastardly act done to her in Asaba, Delta State.
She stated that she has refused all avenue to arrest and imprison her ex-friend for 10 years as the crime requires but has chosen to forgive her.
She wrote on her Instagram page, ‘
At first, it was difficult to let go of this, it sounded so impossible because I didn’t deserve such from a friend and not just a friend but someone I regarded as a SISTER. But as the day goes by, I see reasons to let go. I would have been blinded by this but GODS MERCY said NO and it ended just below my eyes!
June 23rd 2018, was one hell of a year! Many questions of how I would cope with an indelible mark on my face was running through my mind! Suicide became an option! But today I have different people who liked and loved me despite the mark.
Tongues wagged, friends stood against without hearing from my own side of the story. Many were happy and many were still sad
’
‘Many were angry and by all means, wish to take a bold step but I REFUSED.
Yes! I couldn’t stand you going to jail (10years) as the charges on you demanded but I was bittered and pained for months.
Many people who see me today with the same face ends up being so surprised how it healed so fast (A face that was stitched twice inside before the outer layer)
within the space of two years! That alone is a miracle!
Anger might be the problem I find difficult to control
But I have a per cent, good heart,
without being told.’
‘On this day, I forgive As many that have offended me and still claim right and also forgive people who offended me and sincerely asked for forgiveness!
And to people who felt I might go against them, I sincerely apologize
On this day, I ask for GODS GRACE to totally forgive Nwanyibunwa MaryAnn Halim Anthony and also neutralize the Curses I laid on you out of pains, may they turn into blessings for u
Stepping into another phase of my life!
My era of GODS blessings and upliftment
Mrs MaryAnn Nwanyibunwa Halim Anthony, I wholeheartedly forgive you!’
