An unidentified lecturer of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has been abducted by gunmen from his residence at Sardauna crescent.
In a statement released by the management of ABU, it stated that the lecturer, who teaches at the Department of Faculty of Medicine was abducted on Sunday night with his wife and daughter.
Following a distress call, the police operatives led in a hot chase at the gunmen who released the wife and daughter and fled with the man.
The school management also informed that the security agencies have been duly informed and it urged the University community to remain calm and vigilant to avoid reoccurrence of the incident.
