President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the setting up of an Administrative Panel of Inquiry to investigate the Management of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
A statement released by the Senior Spokesman to the President, Garba Shehu revealed that the setting up of the committee was recommended by the Ministry of Transportation under Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
The Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman was also advised to step aside while Mr Mohammed Koko will act in that position till the investigation is over.
“The panel is to be headed by the Director, Maritime Services of the Ministry while the Deputy Director, Legal of the same ministry will serve as Secretary.Other members of the panel will be appointed by the Minister.”
No reason was given for her suspension and probe.
