Tinubu Appoints Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mrs Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu Ojukwu as Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the reshuffling of his cabinet which removed the former Minister of the Ministry Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.

This was made known in a statement made available to newsmen which also relieved Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye as Minister of Women Affairs, Lola Ade-John from the Ministry of Tourism, Prof Tahir Mamman SAN OON Minister of Education, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo as Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development and Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim Minister of Youth Development.

The statement also appointed Dr Nentawe Yilwatda Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi Minister of Labour & Employment Federal Ministry of Labour & Employment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Idi Mukhtar Maiha Ministry of Livestock Development Federal Ministry of Livestock Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and Suwaiba Said Ahmad PhD Minister of State Education Federal Ministry of Education.

The President also reassigned portfolios to Hon Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu as Minister of State, Education Minister of State Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa Minister State, Health Minister of Education, Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo Minister of State, Water Resources and Sanitation Minister of State
Works, Hon. Abubakar Eshiokpekha Momoh Minister of Niger Delta Development Minister of Regional Development.

Others are Uba Maigari Ahmadu Minister of State Steel Development Minister of State Regional
Development, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Minister of State Finance, Sen. John Owan Enoh Minister of Sports Development Minister of State Trade and Investment [Industry], Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim Minister of State, Police Affairs Minister of Women Affairs, Ayodele Olawande Minister of State for Youth Development Minister for Youth Development, and Dr. Salako Iziaq Adekunle Adeboye Minister of State, Environment Minister of State, Health.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu also abolished the Ministry of Niger Delta and the Ministry of Sports Development and created a new Ministry of Regional Development that will oversee all regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission and others across the country.

The National Sports Commission will assume the responsibilities of the defunct Sports Ministry, while the Ministry of Tourism will merge with the Ministry of Culture and Creative Economy.

The decisions were made during the ongoing  Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja and made known by the Special Adviser to the President on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga via his X handle

The reorganisation comes after weeks of speculation about a cabinet reshuffle.
