A man has been arrested for hacking his friend to death in a tragic circumstance which happened recently in Niger state. The suspect who is currently cooling off in police custody was said to have lured his friend to where he killed him with an axe and machete over a business before making away with his money.
The corpse of the deceased was discovered in a farm by the villagers as the wife confirmed the body and narrated how her husband had been threatened by the suspect. The suspect was immediately arrested by the police. The murder weapons and some cash were also recovered from him.
The PPRO of the Niger State Police command, Muhammad D. Abubakar, confirmed the report and said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
