A disturbing and chilling incident has unfolded in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where a young woman has been accused of poisoning her boyfriend to death after discovering his infidelity and then hiding his body for several days.
The incident took place in the Marine Base area, specifically within the Iyo Polo community. According to sources, the woman became aware of her boyfriend’s cheating and, in an apparent act of revenge, decided to poison him. Reports suggest she mixed poison into his food or drink, leading to his death.
What followed shocked the neighbourhood. Instead of seeking help, the woman allegedly moved her boyfriend’s lifeless body under the bed and left it there for three days. During this time, neighbours became increasingly suspicious as a foul odour began emanating from the apartment, and attempts to contact the boyfriend were unsuccessful.

The girlfriend’s odd behaviour added to the growing concerns. She reportedly avoided visitors, kept to herself, and acted evasively, which led the neighbours to call the police. Upon entering the apartment, law enforcement officers were met with the overwhelming smell of decomposition and discovered the body hidden beneath the bed.
The woman was quickly apprehended and taken into custody. While investigations are ongoing, early findings suggest that a conflict over the boyfriend’s infidelity may have sparked the tragic and horrific series of events.
