At the visit of Honourable Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uche Ogah to the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu at the government house in Umuahia, he promised to collaborate with the state government to move the state forward.
He stated that elections are over and he will do his best to make sure that the State flourishes.
The Governor, who received the Honourable Minister, in the company of his deputy, Rt Hon Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, PhD and other top government functionaries, thanked him for coming and congratulated him on his appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He used the opportunity to admonish all Abians on the need to always put Abia and the welfare of our people first.
The Governor outlined a few achievements of his administration and enjoined the minister to be a worthy ambassador of the state, at Abuja and always support policies and decisions that will benefit our dear state.
Responding, Dr Uche Ogah thanked the Governor for the warm reception given to him and members of his entourage. He further explained that he is in the state to represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the burial of the son of former Head of State, Late Gen Aguiyi Ironsi, and thought it wise to visit his Governor, as courtesy demands.
