A picture of an injured man who later died has made it to the internet after being abandoned on the road side.
According to the man who shared the story, he saw the man by his bus stop and proceeded to call the emergency number of Lagos State but they never made it to the place.
The police who came to the place, looked at the body and left it at the place stating that no hospital will treat him.
The man shared that Lagos State was not working anymore for the people.
He shared; ‘Saw this man at my bus stop, Adealu pedestrian bridge this Monday morning 10:56am and as a good Lagosian I called the Lagos 112/767 numbers, 767 picked and promised to send Lasambus to the venue to pick him up but till now 7:36pm the body is still there.
That man was still breathing in the morning when I made the call but now he’s cold and gone and the body still there, I believe every life matters and we should take care of ourselves, Lagos is no longer working to my own understanding.
I made another call this evening and bared my mind out cuz I wasn’t the only one that made the call that morning, it is very painful cuz the life you didn’t save in the morning had turned to a commodity you should come pick now.
@lasemasocial #Lagos112
Well I made another call to them to come pick up the dead body, and I hope the body is picked up tonight. What happened to LRU? They were the best thing to happen to Lagos but now all hope seems lost. @followlasg @jidesanwoolu @segalink @RuggedyBaba @DONJAZZY
Lest I forgot, @PoliceNG came with their blue truck Metro patrol and snapped pics and said they can’t take him as no hospital will treat him then zoomed off.’
For a better country, we have to take responsibility for our actions and think of the other person and scenario.
