A suspected robber has escaped being lynched by an angry mob after robbing some residential areas and making away with valuables on Wednesday morning.
He was arrested by police officers from Pangani Police Station in Nairobi, Kenya who arrested him and saved him from the angry mob.
Area residents say that for more than three weeks now they have witnessed a series of robberies which prompted them to set a trap.
This led to the arrest of the suspect only identified as Abdul.
“There have been increased incidents of burglaries within Ngara. The robbers break into houses and steal valuables,” one resident by the name Cyrus Kibagendi said.
Vincent Njuguna, another resident who recently became a victim of the robberies, said that he locked his house and left for the shop only to return and find his house broken into.
“When I entered the house my TV set was missing. I tried asking around but no one could tell me what had happened,” he said.
