Amidst the war of words that have taken over the media space in Abia State, the government has called for calm stating that Abia is a PDP state.
Recall that the attack emanated from the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Chinedum Orji who visited the former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu after his incarceration.
This didn’t go down well with a lot of people and there has been calls for the Speaker to resign.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr A.C.B. Agbazuere called for peace and calm in the State reiterating that Abia State is a PDP state.

I have been inundated, for some time now, with variegated comments from several groups and individuals on some issues in the state and I hereby urge everybody in the interest of the state to ceasefire forthwith.
Abia State is a PDP State with a PDP Governor and a PDP majority House of Assembly and thus one family.
All sides are to strictly comply.
Let me also thank all Abians for their solidarity and prayers which God answered by healing our dear Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D.
