The Honourable Commissioner for Environment Tony Nwamuo Esq. with the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment, Mr Iheanyichukwu Ubani Mni, led his team on inspection to Ngwa road through Port Harcourt road and Ndiegoro area of Aba today.
The exercise saw the massive desilting, excavation and construction of the long while deserted Ngwa road by Hartland Nig. Ltd.( The Construction Company handling the project).
Equipment is on-site and work has commenced without delay.
This development is in line with His Excellency’s goal to ensure that Ngwa road, Obohia, Ohanku and Portharcourt roads cum Ndiegoro axis are constructed and completed within a short period, effective of the date of commencement.
Sources gathered that rare joy and relief saturated the air as the inhabitants of these aforementioned areas are optimistic that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
With this, we are assured that His Excellency Dr, O. V. Ikpeazu PhD will soon be on-site to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of this colossus of a road construction project (s) designed to return Aba to its primaeval glory.
