After dobjectionstaging a #HarassBuhariOutofLondon protest at the Abuja House in London, Reno Omokri has suspended the protest over the Ramadan fast.
In a post on Facebook, Omokri stated that the protest will be suspended temporarily to allow President Muhammadu Buhari to observe his fast.
He also pleaded with the #RevolutionNow and #BuhariMustGo convener, Omoyele Sowore to consider granting concession but he warned that if President Buhari tries to see his London doctors, the protest will be resumed.
He wrote,
“Due to the Ramadan fast which began today, we have decided to temporarily suspend #HarassBuhariOutofLondon to allow General Muhammadu Buhari to observe his fast in peace. I also call on Omoyele Sowore’s #BuhariMustGo group to consider granting this concession, though it is not mandatory on them. If Buhari attempts to see his London doctors, then we will resume our protests. But as long as Buhari does not breach this, I believe we should respect the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, not because of Buhari, but because of our love for the Muslim ummah who are also victims of General Buhari’s missile.”
The former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan flew to London after the President took a two weeks ‘medical routine’ to the United Kingdom on the 30th March 2021, revealing that while he sees his doctors, the Nigerian doctors embarked on a strike over unpaid salaries and allowances.
The #HarassBuhariOutofLondon took a different turn when another protest was organised in support of President Muhammadu Buhari which they were allegedly paid £75.
In a viral video, the anti-Buhari protesters chased the pro-Buhari out of the front of the Abuja House in London.
