The Women’s Wing Christian Council of Nigeria (WOWICCN) Abia the chapter has inducted Precious Ola Chinazamekpere Ifeanyi Okali as a member of the Christian women group.
Chinazamekpere is the daughter of the Director ABN TV, Mr. Ifeanyi Okali who was born in May after 11 years of his marriage with his wife.
The induction took place in Umuahia on Wednesday during a courtesy call by WOWICCN members.
Very Rev Amb Elizabeth Uguru ,State assistant Secretary WOWICCN during the induction stated that there will be a Biennial convention for the girl child which will start this month and end October, adding that the Abia state chapter has already commenced with their activities.
Rev Elizabeth said the girl child is very special and important in every family.
Hon Deaconess Charity Nkechinyere Nwaekpe, Abia state WOWICCN Chairperson while speaking said the sensitization which has started is in preparation for the forthcoming international girl child advocacy convention coming up by October, adding that there will be a whole lot to be achieved on lectures concerning menstrual health.
Deaconess Charity noted that baby Ola is the second baby the group is welcoming for the year and that the sensitization which the group has started will go round the LGA’s in the state.
The Girl Child Director Amb Mrs Ifeoma Onwuka while receiving Ola as the new member of the group said she is grateful to God that in her department they are multiplying stressing that baby Ola is part of the Christian Girls in Training (CGIT) in the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria PCN which is the church her family belongs.
Ifeoma stated that baby Ola has been received officially to the group as the baby of the month adding that the girl child advocacy ceremony will be celebrated on 26th August at St Peters Presbyterian Church Umuahia.
She further stated that baby Ola is being received in the girl child month as part of the activities to sensitize for the girl child day stressing that she feels fulfilled as Mr Ifeanyi Okali’s family has been multiplied.
The ABN TV Director Mr Ifeanyi Okali while appreciating the group expressed his profound joy and promised to always make baby Ola available for the things of God at all time.
Other state officers of the WOWICCN group present during the induction include Elder Mrs Glory Awa, Bible Study Coordinator, Sis Maria Edeh, PRO Aba Area, Deaconess Ukaegbu Doris, Welfare Officer and Amb Josephine Duru, Former Treasurer.
