The Minister of Works, David Umahi has said that Fund has been released for the installation of CCTV on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State as ordered by President Bola Tinubu
Speaking in an interview on Channels ‘Sunday Politics’ host, Seun Okin, on Sunday, March, 31 said surveillance cameras would be part of efforts to counter crimes and illicit enterprise under the bridge.
Mr Umahi stated that installing solar-powered lights and surveillance cameras was imperative as criminal miners went as far as “destroying the concrete to anchor their small boats.”
“We are putting up CCTV both on top of the bridge and under the bridge because the president told me that part of the problem we are having is people who are doing illegal mining of the sand,” Mr Umahi explained. “And I agree with him. I have seen it. They even go as far as even destroying the concrete to anchor their small boats.”
He disclosed that the president released the fund needed “and I can say that 99 per cent of the project is done.”
Mr Umahi added, “But what is to be done is additional work, we are putting up solar lights. We are replacing the generator lights with solar lights.”
Applauding the President on his achievements, the former Ebonyi State Governor revealed that President Tinubu will last for eight years as President, a prophecy which was revealed by God.
He said: “Let me first tell you, you can call me pastor. I am also a prophet and you must know that the coming onboard of Mr. President is divine and when God starts a thing, he completes it.
“I strongly believe and i am persuaded to let you know that God told me that this administration will last 8 years and because this administration is born of God and you can see the miracles that Mr President is doing through the inspiration of God Almighty who brought him to right all the wrongs and reset this country.
“So we are taking back this country, he will give back this country to Nigerians and that is simply what Mr President has come to do and so we are just here to support him.”
