On the night of March 29, suspected bandits targeted the Gazari-Kaya Road near Sabon Gida Village in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The assailants set fire to a truck carrying sugarcane at approximately 10:37 p.m., before fleeing the scene.
Authorities, acting on a tip-off about the blockade, quickly dispatched security forces to the location.
However, as soon as the bandits noticed the approaching personnel, they set the vehicle ablaze and made their escape, vanishing into an unknown direction.
