Police Arrest Notorious Kidnapper, Rescue Two Students
Ibrahim Musa, a notorious kidnapper from Abuni village in the Awe Local Government Area, has been arrested by the Nasarawa Police Command for the abduction of two students from the Federal University Lafia, Sadiq Adinoyi and Sakina Adinoyi, on March 30, 2025.

The students were kidnapped during an attack by suspected kidnappers at a student lodge located behind Nasara Estate, Tudun Kauri, Lafia, around 9:20 PM.
According to SP Ramhan Nansel, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, PSC, MNIPS, directed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit and ‘A’ Division in Lafia to track down the perpetrators after receiving a distress call from the students’ lodge.

“Following technical intelligence gathering, a rescue operation was conducted on April 1, 2025, at approximately 11:30 AM in a forest behind the 500 Housing Unit along Doma Road, Lafia. During the operation, police operatives engaged the kidnappers in a gunfight. Overwhelmed by police firepower, the kidnappers fled in different directions, leaving the victims behind, who were safely rescued.”
The suspect is now cooperating with authorities and providing valuable information to aid ongoing investigations.
