Terrible! Multiple Dead After Shooting at Christ Church in New Zealand

A terrible shooting has happened in New Zealand at the Christ Church. There are “multiple fatalities” that have been confirmed by police in New Zealand following shootings at two mosques in Christchurch City. There are three men and one woman in custody, a news conference was told by police commissioner Mike Bush. Witnesses told local media that they were running for their lives and they saw people bleeding outside the Al Noor mosque on the ground. All mosques were advised to be shut down by the authorities until further notice.

All schools in Christchurch are lockdown. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said in a statement to the nation that details were not yet clear, “but now I can tell you this will be one of the darkest days in New Zealand.”

Mohan Ibrahim, who was in the Al Noor mosque area, told the New Zealand Herald: “We thought it was an electric shock at first, but then all these people started running. “I’ve been calling my friends, but there are many that I haven’t heard of. I’m afraid of my friends ‘ lives.” It’s not yet known how many shooters there were, but the Herald reports that one Australian gunman is believed to have written a manifesto outlining his intentions. He embraces the ideology of the far-right and anti-immigrant ideology in it. Unverified footage allegedly taken by the shooter has emerged, suggesting that he was filming as victims were shot.
