The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, has congratulated winner of the 2nd National competition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) competition, Miss Nora Onwuasoanya, while stressing the need to encourage Abia youths in their endeavors.
He made the statement today while receiving the winner at the Government House, Umuahia, where he stated that his efforts towards the Small and Medium Enterprises in Abia state and indeed the country are aimed at the creative spirit of the average Nigerian.
He expressed his delight at Miss Onwuasoanya’s hard work, dedication and commitment saying her victory is not an end but an enabler which will trigger her to do more. He assured of his confidence in her while encouraging her to put God first in all she does and also make efforts to become better in all she does.
The Governor also made a gift donation of N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) while pledging his support for her business endeavors.
Earlier, the winner of the MSME award, Miss Nora Onwuasoanya, who said she applied for the competition under the category of creative arts with the prize award of N1,000,000 (One million Naira Only) but was fortunately nominated for a higher award as the outstanding MSME of the year.
She disclosed that she was the only participant from the South East and thanked the Governor who laid the foundation for her drive in MSME saying her story will not be complete without making mention of his role in it and for making Made in Aba products a name to be reckoned with.
