A man has warned people about lodging at Orchard Hotel, Ibadan after an attempted robbery by the hotel cleaners on him and his wife.
Narrating his ordeal on Twitter, Panda Ade-Fatona disclosed that one of the hotel cleaners who cleaned their room earlier in the day came back at night to rob them.
When the cleaner noticed the man was awake, he quickly backtracked and claimed the couple left the door open.

“Do Not Go To The Orchard Hotel, Ibadan, opposite NDLEA Office, Onireke, If You Don’t Want To Risk Being Raped/Robbed!!!
My wife and I stayed at this hotel from Jan 6-10, 2021.
On our 4th day (Jan 9), I asked that cleaners come up to our room and then went out.
My wife was alone in the room. We both work remotely so our laptops were on display.
Later that night, the same cleaners attempted to break into our room. I hadn’t locked the door fully, and they tried to force the door open using the opportunity.
See pictures of the door. My wife and I woke from sleep to see a man standing in our doorway, holding a part of the door frame.
When the man heard my voice, he backtracked, claiming that I had left the door unlocked and he had opened it mistakenly, while trying to show a guest to his new room. The hotel promised to “take action,” but have done nothing since that time but beg.
As we all know, going to the police in Nigeria is always more trouble than it’s worth, so I’m tweeting for others who may be thinking about using the Orchard Hotel, Ibadan.
DON’T DO IT!!!
