Philanthropist and hotelier Chima Anyaso has urged his followers to disregard fake news published by a scammer Udoye John Tobenna of a giveaway.
The news article by the scammer urged the followers to donate to the cause of the philanthropist who is known for his grassroots and rural oriented work.
Dr Chima urged his followers to ignore the scammer and stated that any giveaway will be communicated through the appropriate channel.

FAKE NEWS ALERT!!!
My attention has been drawn to the fake publication circulating online by one Udoye John Tobenna using my picture.
For clarity, the Chima Anyaso Foundation does not do giveaways; our charity work is grassroots and rural oriented and a lot of our beneficiaries are not even on social media. It is also pertinent to add that no well-structured charity organization will ask you to first donate money before giving you money.
Kindly disregard the fake publications as the poster is seeking to paint the efforts of Dr Anyaso in a bad light.
The publication is FAKE and didn’t emanate from me or any of our subsidiaries. If and when we commence any, the general public would be well informed through the right and appropriate channel.
Meanwhile, I acknowledge the public acceptance of the philanthropic efforts we make through the Ahuoma Foundation and Chima Anyaso Foundation, we will continue in our effort to ensure it is consistent.
