NAFDAC Raids/Shuts Down Illegal Alcohol Packaging Centers
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC has shut down illegal alcohol packaging operations located at Article Market in Abule-Osun, Lagos State.
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC has shut down illegal alcohol packaging operations located at Article Market in Abule-Osun, Lagos State.

During the raid, officials confiscated over 50,000 counterfeit branded labels and packaging materials for fake alcoholic beverages, with an estimated value of approximately ₦2 billion. These materials were intended for the production of unapproved and hazardous alcoholic products.
NAFDAC warns about the serious health risks associated with counterfeit alcohol, which can include poisoning and organ damage.




Consumers are urged to purchase alcoholic beverages only from trusted vendors and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest NAFDAC office.
A few days ago, NAFDAC also busted a warehouse where unregistered and counterfeit items were sold to unsuspecting consumers and reminded consumers of the risk associated with unregulated products and items.
