The Nigerian Police has said it will carry out a thorough investigation into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who passed away allegedly from an ear infection on Tuesday, 12th of September.
In a statement shared by the PPRO of the NPF, Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Thursday, the Police disclosed that it is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and fans of late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who tragically passed away recently. We understand the concerns surrounding his untimely demise and the various speculations that have arisen.
The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.

The investigation is coming months after the late singer wrote to the Assistant Inspector General of Police on the threats to life, harassment, and destruction of properties he was receiving from some identified persons in the letter.
