A stray bullet from suspected cultists killed Uche Joevita Chigozirim, a 100-level Health science student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State on Thursday evening at the Miracle junction area of the school.

Citing the heightened insecurity in the State capital, a witness Dickson Anayochi who spoke to Sahara Reporters appealed to the Inspector General of Police for a checkpoint around the Ifite area of UNIZIK.

“This girl, a 100-level student of the faculty of Health Science was killed yesterday (Thursday) evening by a stray bullet shot by suspected cultists at the popular Miracle Junction. Her name is Uche Joevita Chigozirim.

“Please help us and let the world know the insecurity challenges we are facing in the UNIZIK environment and the state government is not doing anything to improve the situation.

“Please let the Inspector General of Police hear this and help us with a checkpoint around the Ifite area of UNIZIK because we are tired of complaining to the state government. It’s now a culture. We are almost used to it. It is really sad”.
