Igbo-Jah: Police Redeploy Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad Commander, Conclude Investigation

CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, the Commissioner of Police Enugu State Police Command has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Officer in Charge of the Tactical Squad, SP Ekeleme Chidobe following the killing of Ogene Musician Chikezie Okezie Nwamba a.k.a. Igbo-Jah by Inspector Ozonwanji Joseph.

CP Uzuegbu stated that the redeployment will allow for a comprehensive review of the Squad’s operations.

A statement made available by the Spokesperson DSP Daniel Ndukwe reveals that the Command has concluded its investigation and has commenced an orderly room trial.

“Following the tragic and unwarranted shooting and killing of Enugu-based Ogene musician, Chikezie Okezie Nwamba “m” (a.k.a. Igbo-Jah), the Enugu State Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) has concluded its investigation into the incident.

“Consequently, the orderly room trial of the implicated Police Inspector, Ozonwanji Joseph, has commenced. This trial will facilitate the next course of action by the Nigeria Police Force’s disciplinary procedures,” the statement read.

The statement also reaffirms commitment to ensuring that justice is done in the case.
