Daughter/Father Dance: Boy Takes Over Role from Absentee Father

An 11-year-old boy has stood in for his absent dad at his 7-year-old sister’s school’s daughter/father dance which their dad has missed in two years.

The mother Trelysia Hamerter who narrated the incident n Instagram disclosed that her child’s father always stood her up but this time, her daughter kept crying which prompted her older brother to take over the role.

According to her, her daughter Skylar shed tears because she had her heart set on going. “I literally felt powerless because I had a feeling that he would, but I was hoping that he wouldn’t dare pull the same stunt two years in a row,” Hamerter tells us.

But just when she thought she had lost all hope, it was what her 11-year-old son Christian did next that made them happy tears start flowing.

”My 11-year-old is the one who stepped in and said that he would take her because she deserves someone keeping her word”.

The brother eventually took her to the dance and the two of them had fun.
