Tragic: Young Man Bitten to Death by a Dangerous Snake

A young man, Mr Chidiebere Christopher Nwoke has died in Umuajata Olokoro in Umuahia from a snake bite.

The incident which threw the whole community in mourning happened on Thursday at his farm when he was clearing it in preparation of the farming season.

The victim who hails from Umueke Ekerifeze Umuajata Olokoro in umuahia south local government area went to the farm with his younger brother when the tragic incident happened.

According to the younger brother, late Chidiebere unknowingly inflicted his machete on a dangerous Viper snake known as “AJUALA” as he was clearing the bush with his bare hands.

The snake bites him on his left hand which resulted to swelling and he was rushed to an anti-poison native doctor who gave him drugs which were effective at that time but unfortunately, it took a different turn in the evening which led to his death.

All efforts to revive him proved abortive and the family had to take him to the mortuary.
