A man, Shagari Bawa, who trekked for President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in 2015 is down with a stroke.
The man gained popularity when he trekked from Taraba to Abuja and fulfilled his earlier promise of trekking from Wukari local government area of Taraba state to Abuja in celebration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the 2015 Presidential election is currently battling stroke and requires urgent financial assistance.
It was gathered that Bawa has been battling health challenges and is currently admitted at the Bethel Hospital, Wukari and is yet to regain consciousness since he was admitted into the hospital for the past five days, according to an SOS by one of his friends.
In a Facebook post, the friend also called on the APC Wukari LG Branch, APC Taraba state Chapter, Wukari Football Players Union and other well-meaning Nigerians to come to Shagari’s aid and also pray for God’s intervention.
It is not clear if the health challenge of the ex-footballer who formerly played for Wukari United, Unity Bank FC, and All-Stars FC all of Wukari is an APC supporter was caused by the trekking.
Recall that Shagari was met by a large crowd when he arrived Abuja in 2015.
