The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has stated that five months subvention has been released to Abia State College of Health Science & Management Technology, Aba.
According to a post made by the Governor on Twitter on Friday, this will help clear the backlog salaries of health workers at parastatals.
He warned the institution’s management that there will be consequences for any misapplication of funds.
He wrote, “In keeping with my earlier promise to address the demands of health workers as well as those of other ailing parastatals, to help them clear their backlog of salaries, on my directive, 5 months subvention was released en bloc yesterday to the Abia State College of Health Science & Management Technology, Aba, hoping that the institution’s management will apply it judiciously because there will be consequences for any misapplication of the funds. We shall continue to provide the needed support to our ailing parastatals.”
