Human Rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong has regained freedom one month after he was incarcerated by Justice Ekaete Obot in Akwa Ibom Correctional Centre.
Speaking through his social media on Friday, Mr Effiong stated that he will keep confronting the forces of oppression.
“I am back, stronger and more determined to confront the forces of oppression and to continue to speak nothing but the hard truth to the faces of the oppressors of our people. I feel sorry for those who thought they can break my spirit by incarcerating me.”
Mr Effiong was imprisoned a month ago over what Justice Obot described as ‘Contempt of Court.’
