The Nigeria Labour Congress has rescheduled its venue for the May 1st Workers Day to the streets of Abuja following the cancellation of the use of Eagle Square by the Feder Government.
In a statement on Friday, the General Secretary of the NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja, revealed that the celebration will kick off from the National Headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress at eight in the morning.
The statement disclosed that the parade will be an opportunity to reconnect with the people of Nigeria while warning that the unfortunate development is a prerequisite of what’s to come.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Labour Congress had adopted the Labour Party Presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi in the 2023 general election will be having a different celebration owing to their political inclination in which the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was declared winner.
