“Just when we thought that killings of our people at Uzo-Uwani LGA of Enugu State had stopped, non-state actors, on Sunday, emerged from the bush to murder several defenceless men, women and children at Adani. My heart bleeds!
I enjoin the state actors — police, DSS, Nigerian army and other security operatives — to fish out these marauders and deliver justice to them as quickly as possible.
While I extend my condolences to our people currently mourning the massacre of their loved ones at Adani, I urge our people to be patient and law-abiding while we wait for the government’s response to the situation.”
