The father of late Sylvester Oromoni, the 12-year-old Dowen College, Lekki, Mr Sylvester Oromoni Snr has faulted the coroner’s judgement which stated that the son died from negligence and not bullying as the earlier held.
The Coroner Magistrate, Mikhail Kadiri, had on Monday indicted the parents of Sylvester and Doctor Henry Aghogho (PW 3), in Warri for failing to treat his enlarged liver which led to the death of late Oromoni.
Sylvester who died on November 30, 2021 generated a lot of controversy on the alleged bullying and an alleged poisonous substance he was allegedly forced to drink in the school.
Reacting shortly after the judgment, the bereaved father rejected the judgment.
He said, “Medical experts did not give a concluding result. They said they saw a substance inside the body of the boy, and what was the substance? Was it tested? It wasn’t tested.
“So this (the judgment) is not the end of the case. As far as I am concerned, it does not represent the true procedure of the evidence taken.”
