Police Arrest Mastermind of Self Kidnap, Others
A mastermind of a self kidnap identified as Blessing Ogunu has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command alongside Esther Anthony and Ukpebor Joel on Monday.
A mastermind of a self kidnap identified as Blessing Ogunu has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command alongside Esther Anthony and Ukpebor Joel on Monday.
It was gathered that one Samuel Prince Omomuzo of No 102, Ihama Road, Benin City reported to the Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit on the supposed kidnap of Blessing Ogunu, a staff of Bliss Legacy Limited, Benin City on the 23rd of March 2024.
Subsequently, the kidnappers demanded four million, eight hundred thousand naira (#4,800,000.00) ransom.
However, through credible intelligence, Blessing was arrested alongside her gang and during interrogation, she confessed to having masterminded the whole kidnap after her company refused to allocate land to a customer whom they had collected money from.
The suspects will be charged in court soon.
